Summer Haul Part I! Accessories

I haven’t updated here in a long time cus I had test and then a cumulative final that was taking over my life. Thankfully I was able to pass all my tests and survive! All through God’s grace for sure. I’ve never had to worry about passing a year or tests so medical school has definitely been a whole new ball game for me. Hopefully next year I will get the hang of it much faster and will ease into med school again without too much trouble.

So since I’ve been back home I’ve just been enjoying the company of my family and catching up with them…and I’ve also done some shopping…actually a ton >:D. I will say though that more than half of the things I’ve bought are for gifts (Mother’s day…etc) and also gifts for my cousins back home.

These shoes were on sale for 19.99~ isn’t it gorgeous? I have a similar style of wedges though but I couldn’t pass it up so I think I’ll give these to my cousin in Korea. I hope she enjoys them cus they are gorgeous!

These were a little more expensive 34.99 but I thought they were totally worth it! They’re really comfortable and in real life they’re colored a beautiful cobalt blue. Both shoes are from Payless shoe source and were from the brand Montego Bay. Today Payless had a 20% off your order in addition to the sale so total amounted to be 48 dollars. Not bad I think for two nice and cute pair of shoes

This next piece is from Anthropologie and it’s ridiculously expensive mid waist belt. I tried this on with a drabby dress from the store and I realized this belt can really spice up an outfit! So I had to purchase it especially since I am planning to dress up a maxi dress with this belt for the next formal my school will have. I love the almost scallopy seashell looking bronzy detail in the edges with the glistening cobalt blue threaded through the circled beads.

If you can’t tell already I’m kind of obsessed with cobalt blue at the moment.

Hope you find these pieces or similar ones for yourself!

My little analogy of T cells anergy and tolerance

  • Think of you and your T cells thinking as a relationship. So you can think of this process as finding someone to date. The T cells need to be at least weakly attracted to you by your outer appearance (self-MHC). If they’re not then you reject them- positive selection. Then you begin to date them for a while and get more intimate with them (go toward the inner medullary thymus). When you’re getting to know them better you need to know whether they like you as a person. If they react poorly to who you really are (your self-peptides) then you need to reject them-negative selection

Chic From Ears To Tail OPI Minnie Mouse collection 2013

I finally got around to trying this color out yesterday. The color didn’t really appeal to me in the bottle cue it was such a light bubblegum pink but I finally decided to give it a try. I’m surprised to really like this polish although I did have some issues with it.

Pros: I do enjoy how the color turned out in the end…perfect color for Spring! I love the micro silver shimmer threaded in the polish. And so far with top coat, the polish is going on strong. Let’s see how long it lasts after three-four days…

Cons: Took four coats for it to look acceptable. As you can see from the picture the nail polish still didn’t level out perfectly. First three coats were streaky as heck.

Overall….B? B+? Could’ve lived without it but I still enjoy it and probably will use again in the future.

Driving Etiquette 101

When driving, please act as if you would by yourself in public instead of acting as if you have security behind a windowed car. And if that’s how you normally act then please get some manners. And prepare to get your a$$ kicked. Thanks.

Sick

You know…i haven’t gotten sick alot here but when I do it’s been pretty violent. And these past few days have been quite awful for me. I think I’m regaining my strength since this morning. My throat is still killing me (like someone put a knife jaggedly down my throat). I couldn’t sleep last night cus I was sweating my pants off till like 6 am. -,-

It would only happen to me…

It would only happen to me…where I go to a winery and get freakin’ wasted. Omg worst feeling evverrrrr~ threw up at least 5 times. How does that happen?? I was tipsy by the 3rd wine tasting. >.< I guess it didn’t help that I didn’t eat much of a breakfast. Gosh seriously never felt so bad in my life…

Boston here I come!

Well it seems that I will be doing research in Boston this summer! Beyond excited and grateful for what God has provided for me. I will be researching anorexia and its effect on peak bone mass. 🙂 Although I’m nervous at the same time, I hope that I will be able to do my very best there.
